A smile is something you wear every day

Before Your Surgery

To help you to prepare for your surgery appointment, please take note of the following:

1. On the morning of your appointment, have a good breakfast. Avoid drinking too much coffee or tea, since these may make your bladder too full during surgery.

2. Wear comfortable, warm clothing because you will be sitting still for a while. If you are cold, we will provide you with a blanket.

3. Take your prescribed medications if one has been prescribed. If you are currently using blood thinners please arrange for your physician to lower the dosage before treatment.

4. If we have prescribed a sedative to help you relax, please arrange for a ride home after the procedure.

5. Buy and prepare some special foods for after the surgery. The most important components are high protein content and soft consistency such as fruit juice, milk shakes, soups and so on. Start taking vitamin supplements 7 days before surgery (C and E).

6. Plan on a light social or work schedule for after the surgery.

We will make every effort to ensure that your surgery goes smoothly. Following these guidelines will help you to heal rapidly and comfortably.
