The Perfect Restoration for Your Needs

Dental Bonding and Restoration

Here at Williams Lake Smiles, we often see patients who are suffering from one or more missing teeth. These patients come to us looking for the best tooth restoration treatment possible that can have them smiling beautifully once more. That said, many of these patients write implants off right away, assuming that the treatment can’t fit their needs. What these people don’t realize is that there are many different treatments available utilizing dental implants. And, with Williams Lake, BC’s Dr. Rudy Wassenaar at their disposal, it is completely possible that dental implants can provide a treatment that fits their needs. We invite you to read on to learn about the various implant treatments our office provides.

Treatments for Any Number of Missing Teeth

Whether you are suffering from a single missing tooth or a full arch of missing teeth, you can rest assured that we have an implant related treatment that will fit your needs. Some of the treatments we provide using dental implants are included below.

Single Tooth Restorations

When we receive a patient who is suffering from a single missing tooth, we will perform an aptly named single tooth restoration for them. This procedure uses a single implant fixture, which is placed in the empty spot left behind by your missing tooth. With the implant fixture in place, it will require three to six months of recovery time, during which the process of osseointegration will work to fuse your fixture to your jawbone. Once this process is complete, an abutment will be attached to your fixture, followed by the restoration completing the treatment.

Multiple Teeth Restorations

When we receive a patient with multiple missing teeth, we tend to restore each tooth with its own fixture and restoration. However, when a patient has multiple missing teeth that all border each other, then we prefer to treat those teeth with an implant-supported dental bridge. For this procedure, at least two implant fixtures are placed to support the end pieces of the bridge. Once in place, an abutment is attached to each fixture and the dental bridge connected.

Full Arch Restorations

When we receive a patient who is missing a full arch of missing teeth, then it typically is no longer feasible to restore each tooth with its own implant and restoration. Instead, we will replace the patient’s teeth with an implant-supported overdenture. For this procedure, four to six implant fixtures are placed along the arch. Once they have successfully healed and osseointegrated, an abutment will be attached to each implant fixture and the overdenture connected at all points.
